Should I quit my job?

2006-10-10 11:57:26 · 17 answers · asked by Anonymous in Family & Relationships Singles & Dating

Okay here's details.

I work in a restaurant for $6.96 per hour

The customers are horrible to me,
my hours suck,
I hate the people I work with,
it's very stressful
I'm constantly being hit on by creepy older men.

I could quit and possibly get a job at a bookstore

Less hours
Absolutely no stress (fewer customers)
Get paid almost $1 more.

Babe that is life. You win, you lose, you regroup and do something different. You should quit if you have another guaranteed job. If not, just hold tight and get over yourself. (tough love honey.)

Why dont' you first find a job (you can have websites such as JobsBank do auto-searches for you and send emails with job openings, which you can apply for over the web), then quit.

If you know you can get the bookstore job, go for that.

more details. do you need the income and can you find something else? if you really hate it and you don't need it, yes. you can always find something else.

Of course. Why are you even considering staying at your job? Give them your two weeks, or since its that bad, just stop going.
