Go to a salon, they would know the best way to go about changing your color. My advice is not to go from dark brown to blonde all at once. You should do it gradually so it isn't such a shock. Maybe try a light golden brown first and work your way up to blonde. Good luck.

To make a change from very dark hair to a blond, go to a salon to have it done correctly.
First the color has to be bleached out of your hair, then the dye is applied. It's a stinky process - and a long one. I did it for a while, and from the bleaching til I left the salon was right around 4 hours.
But, if that is what you truly want - I'd say "go for it!"

Well, bleaching will damage your hair but it might be an only option because your hair is naturally dark. Then follow up by dying your hair the desired color, just be certain to maintain with deep conditioning treatments. Although, if you want to lighten it in stages, that could also work. It's good though that you're wanting to dye it "honey" which has a bit of a red hue of your hair would turn green, sadly enough. This is a toughie, don't be discouraged.

You should go to a hair dresser because you need a dye with a lightening agent in it such as bleach. Since your hair is dark, the regular dye you can buy in a drug store may not work for you. You can try it at home if you really want to, but make sure you can easily reach a hair dresser to help you if something goes wrong. Good luck!

Ask friends to recommend a good stylist and go there. I went blonde a few years ago and love it. But because the color is so different, be prepared to have the roots touched up every 3-4 weeks.

go to hair dressers to have it done trust me. but if you really want you may need up to 3 hair co lours 1st a pre lighter make sure you put this on your ends 1st as it will take quicker on your roots as the heat on your head makes it work faster then after 15 Min's take it all the way through on to your roots when its lightening enough it should look yellow now put on your second co lour ash blonde will take out some of the yellow that should do it. good luck.

dye it. you could do it yourself but then you take the risk of having spots and all that junk. your best bet is to go to the salon.

definately go to a salon, if you do it yourself i would suggest doing it in phases, like adding in more and more highlights at a time to avoid damage and unevenness.
