It might not cost anything as most companies classify social, domestic and pleasure as including one place of work, and many will not charge extra if business use (for more than one place of work) is added. This would change if the estimated annual mileage were to significantly increase though, but if it remains below 10k miles per year it really wouldn't make a big difference. Also, things like adding an alarm to the car really don't make any difference to the price.

You're best bet is to shop online and do different quotes to see what prices come up. If your place of residence and overnight location of the car remains the same then again you won't be affected too much as these are two of the main criteria in determining a price.

In my state(MA), it is just a nominal charge, such as $35 per year. As long as it is not a company vehicle as opposed to a car used in the course of conducting a business. In my state, you could have a occupation like traveling salesman or a visiting nurse and that would be a lower fee($40ish more per yr) than say, using a car and being paid for driving people or busing people. That would require a commercial lines policy which would mean a separate policy at a rate based on whether the vehicle was delivery, service or driving for a fee, like a taxi. $1200 per yr likely for good coverage.
The gist is: your occupation and how the vehicle is used in your occupation is key to the cost and requires the call to several agents. I would be happy to advise u further, worked in insurance for twenty years and am licensed. You can also log into your state's division of insurance for specific questions about the state your vehicle is garaged and their tollfree numbers. All states differ but it sounds like you are just talking about a situation where your driving is just a small part of your job description and thus, you just need an endorsement to the policy not a separate one, much cheaper!

That depends on a few things such as do you park on a street or in a garage? How far do you have to drive to work? What is the crime like in the area where you work? Things like that. Btw, getting a car alarm will help keep your insurance rates down.

depends on your insurance company....if it's standard or non standard and some companies won't cover you at all if you use it for work. Call your agent and give them a hypothetical situation to get an idea of what your increase would be or if you follow the other advice and just don't tell them, you have to be careful. If your ever in an accident while using your vehicle for work they can deny your claim for business use.

Depends on what the work is. If you're just using it to go to and from a job site, maybe 10% increase.

If you're using it for delivery service, you'll have to get a commercial policy, and it will probably be at least double what you're paying now.
