I'm 245 lbs and 6ft tall. I need to get down to 210 very quickly in order to get the ball rolling (taking the ASVAB and DLAB tests and going to MEPS). How can I do this in 2 months? Is it possible to just not eat for a few weeks and lose weight that way? lol

Listen man. The last thing you want to do is starve yourself. In order to keep your metabolism high and loose weight you need to eat less, eat healthy foods and exercise. I suggest asking your recruiter for help. When I joined the Army my recruiter took me runnning tohelp get me in shape. Also, the military has height and weight standards but they also realize that not all people are bulit the same. Do you think a body-builder could make weight? No. But that's why we have a body fat composition test. Youo will be taped and if you are not over a certain % of body fat you're good.

Eat regularly but in smaller portions and no junk. Start doing push ups and sit ups. Try running three miles in 30 minutes the first week, work down to 27 minutes after a month, and by the time it is time for you to report, try to get to around 25 minutes.

As far as your weight: after all of that what you don't lose in 2 months you will lose soon after you start.

I had to lose weight to get in the Army. Atkins will work for short term weight lost. For the long haul, you want to make a permanent life style change.
