I have a hamster and a fish. I want a small dog. My parents say no beacasue I already have 2 pets. What should i do cause I really really want one!!!

Well, one way is to show them you are committed to having a dog. for instance, do some research on dog breeds and find out which one would best suit your personalities, (parents too) and then make sure you do the things they ask you to do, like chores, cleaning up your room, and making sure your other pets are taken care of without them telling you to. Then you might talk with them on the pros and cons of having a puppy. They are a lot of work until they grow, so be prepared to work for the privilege!

Don't, its really not fair to the dog. what if it ends up doing something bad, or maybe you do, either way, they could take it to the shelter to "teach you a lesson" which is wrong. Also what about when you move out or go to college? are your parents going to be stuck with a dog they didn't want in the first place because you cant take it? If I was you I would wait until I got my life settled and then think about getting a dog. I'm really sorry, because I know what its like to REALLY want a dog and not be able to have one. And I know that it seems like forever but if you really cared about the dog the you would wait. GOOD LUCK!!!!

Well, I got my puppy by begging my parents all the time till they got so tired of it that they went ahead and bought me one. Though asking them constantly does get them annoyed...

Show them that your responsible. That you can take care of the dog and everything. That's how I got my dog. Tell them that you can handle it.
