Islam. Though most people don't use it that way. Usually when people say pagan they mean neo-pagan.
Ne·o-Pa·gan·ism
Any of various religious movements arising chiefly in the United Kingdom and the United States in the late 20th century that combine worship of pagan nature deities, particularly of the earth, with benign witchcraft.
Edit: Muslim is to islam as christian is to christianity. Islam is the religion that muslims follow.

Pagans ecompass many beliefs. There are polytheistic pagans, monotheistic pagans, and pagans who are in between. There are pagans who honor the earth and worship nature, and there are pagans who do not consider nature as part of the spiritual/religious identity.
The only thing that pagans have in common is that they are not Christian, Jewish, or Muslim and that they self-identify as pagan. Hence, that's the definition.

Pagan means one that lives in the heathers. Another term for Heathen. One who lives in the heathers.
That is to say polytheists. Those who worship many gods. Usually nature gods. The stars were gods, the moon is a god, the trees are gods. Animals are gods.
Many used human sacrifice.
Beowulf is a great book.

Paganism is typically used to describe any religion (most pagan religions are polytheistic) that represents nature as god(s). In the 3 abrahamic religions (christianity, judaism, islam) god is seen as seperate from nature where as a pagan god would be nature or a natural force.

Pagan actually started as a term to describe anyone that was not Jewish. and later came to describe anyone that was not of your chosen religion. now the most well acepted meaning of the word is to describe people that follow multiple gods.

it's a cult, like christianity. many of the stories in the bible come from earlier paganism and pagan beliefs.
very little in the bible is original. just a colletion of stories from otehr cults and paganism. even the story of jesus comes from an earlier cult of a different name, which is why christianity is a false cult.
