It might be a urinary tract infection or bladder infection. These can cause serious problems if untreated. It can progress into the kidney's. Not good at all. Call your doc and let him know so he can give you something for it. But yes you can induce labor yourself by stimulating your nipples. Sounds very silly but true. I would have the pee problem checked before you try it though cause you don't want your baby exposed to that bacteria during delivery. UTI's are very common in pregnant women. Treat it then play with your nipples, it causes uterine contractions.

First is the situation with the urine. Pain in the lower back and bad odor to urine is a sure sign that you need to call your doc, chances are you have got a urinary infection which can be serious even when you aren't pregnant, also a bad odor especially if wwith a discharge can be a sign you are leaking amniotic fluid. Call your ob and get in now. The pressure is because you are getting closer to your due date and the baby is getting ready as well and probably has dropped putting more pressure on your bladder. As far as inducing labor on your own DON'T do the home things of castor oil, my grandmother talked me into trying this and all it did was make me sick and I couldn't stay out of the bathroom. Nipple stimulation, sex and a lot of walking are the only things I would try but to be honest it doesn't matter what you do unless your doc induces you the baby will come when it gets ready because they are stubborn that way. Call your doc though and get the other checked out.

You are more than likely having Braxton Hicks contractions. Those are contractions that give your body practice and make it prepared for when the actual event occurs. Your urine during pregnancy shouldn't have an odd smell meaning that it should be the same as it was before you became pregnant. You may want to look into that because a bladder infection could be brewing. That sometimes happens when you're pregnant because of the pressure on your bladder and kidneys.

When you are farther along there are ways that can possibly induce labor though not always definitely induce labor. Nipple stimulation is supposedly one of them though it is extremely time consuming. Sex can also induce labor because semen contains hormones that ripen the cervix. There are other ways that supposedly help to bring on labor (castor oils, enemas, homeopathic medicines) but those should never be taken unless your physician or midwife recommends them.

The only real way for labor to begin is time or to be induced at the hospital.

Yes you can induce your labor by massaging a certain body part and doing it in a certain way but I'm not going to tell you how b/c you should wait until you are 40 weeks or your baby my have problems if it is born early. My 3 year old was born at 34 weeks b/c i had a week cervix and i went into labor at 32 weeks i was in the hospital forever and trust me you don't want that.
The pain in your back is probably b/c the baby is growing and hiting a nerve in your back. As for as the urine smell dont know.

If your urine smells I would definately see a doctor. That could be something serious...a STD, an urinary trac infection. As far as inducing your labor good luck on that. I tried with my son and I had no luck, just a lot of pain that could have been prevented had I don't drank castol oil.

Call your doctor, now.

With my first pregnancy, I ended up with a severe kidney infection with the same beginning symptoms, but I ignored them till I litterally couldnt control my bladder anymore and I was urinating on myself every 15 minutes, no matter how hard I tried to hold it, not to mention the pain was starting to become intolerable. They admitted me into the hospital, and 2 days and 3 bags of morphine later my daughter was born. They rushed her out of the room to check all her vitals, as the kidney infection in me was at a dangerous point, they feared for her. Eight hours later, I was able to see my daughter for the first time. Thankfully she was a happy healthy girl, I on the other hand still couldnt move and was kept in the hospital for 5 days.

Greetings!

You need to see a doctor. The smell in the urine may be liver related.

Good Luck

Sounds like you should be talking to your doctor, and no, I don't think you can induce your own labor, and why would you want to.
