HOMECOMING?? Is it okay for a girl to ask one of her guy friends?? If her other friends have dates and want to go all together with their dates and the one girl has no date, is it okay for her to ask one of her guy friends to go with her? If so, how should she go about asking???

Definitely okay.

Group dates are the best also and going with a friend is even better because you already know and are comfortable with each other and you can just focus on laughing and having a good time.

You will be happy when you look back at this decision as well when you are my age (27) and know that you TRULY enjoyed yourself vs. all of the B-S that goes on with the normal date. Am I pretty enough? Skinny enough? Does he want to dance with me? Is he looking at another girl? Will he kiss me?

Take all of those stresses out of the game and just HAVE FUN!

Just be direct as possible. Say something like "Since you know about the homecoming dance, I would enjoy it if you came with me........as friends." Its more than likely that he will except your invitation because u are his friend. Don't be shy about it, just confront him in a positive way. I asked out one of my friends to prom, so I know that you will have fun with someone that you know, so go for it!!!!!! I promise, u will have a date for homecoming!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, its okay, to ask the guy, or you can bring up homecoming,
like for ex.
girl: "hey, so r u going to homecoming?"
if "yes " further the question if "no" then don't
guy:"yeah, i guess"
girl:"do u hav a date?"
if "no" further the question, if "yes" don't
guy:"no, u?"
most guys will say you, if they like you
girl:"nope,"
and then if he likes you he'll ask......it works , that's how i got mine

It is best to ask your homeboy does he have anybody take to homecoming. If he say yes,Don't look sad because he is going to feel bad for you.And he say no, then ask him will he like to go to homecoming with you. It can be a best friend date. Not a real date but some to dance with. That how I ask my guy friend in he said yes he will like to take me to homecoming.I hope it help you.

I went with my guy friend and it ended up two days later, him talking to me about just wanting to be friends and nothing more yet, and now I feel awkward around him. So, I guess she could ask if she makes it clear she only want to go as friends.

absolutely!! just ask him...let him know that you are just friends and you dont expect anything more but that you'd like to go to the prom with a friend as opposed to an actual date...you may find out you have even more fun this way!

yes it is ok, it shows the guy that she is determine to have him for a date. First she should become his friend, and when she is closer to him, she can ask him the question.
