to cheer me up. I used to be a christian but not only was there set of fairy tales dreadfully boring but, even on LSD, it was impossible to make myself believe it... Which religion tells the most interesting and complete fairy tales to where you could actually make yourself believe it in some circumstances where drugs or brain injury is involved? Perhaps a religion dedicated to hot chicks, ice cream and sk8boarding?

I think I know which religion has the most interesting tales. This religion's Book (in it's many translations) is the the best seller every year. It always out-sells every other book (religious or not) and always has since the printing press was invented. Scholars of many different religions, as well as atheist scholars, commed this Book as one of the best works of literature. Others call it THE best work of literature ever written.

If you are looking for a religious book about "hot chicks", there is plenty of sex in this Book. There is also plenty of violence. People who say that the Book is boring only show that they have lost the art of reading.

One tale-
God tells Isaiah to walk around stark naked while preaching for three years. And he does just that!

Another tale-
A dictator has to run for his life. He asks a Hebrew woman to hide him in her tent. She agrees and puts him to bed. While he's sleeping, she pounds a tent stake through his head.

Another tale-
Elijah challenges the prophets of Baal to prove that their god works miracles. When they fail, he has them all slaughtered. Then he has to run for his life when Jezebel sends soldiers to kill him. But Jezebel is killed instead and dogs devour her body.

Of course these short blerbs don't do the actual Book justice. But the original is anything but "boring"!

For something really messed up? My money is on Scientology. Nothing says fun like the chance to protest outside of mental health facilities with Tom Cruise AND Kirstie Alley.

You don't need religion in your life.

Religion distracts people away from the Truth of Christ Jesus.

God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit are three entites in one - seperate and equally one. They are not a religion. They are the Truth.

It is unfortunate that you had the devil's touch in you when you approached "religion". satan makes light of God and seeks to seperate us from God in any fashion that he can. One of the key tools that satan uses is CONFUSION.

And LSD was his means to confuse you. And he did well. Once you are man enough to sober up and face life drug and influence free, then go to God's church - any driven by the Holy Spirit, and see if things open up to you and you will be able to see God's light of Salvation and Truth.

I'm sorry that you have not had Christian mentors to guide your spiritual life. If you know God as a child, it is easier to stay with Him, since strength in faith keeps one strong against the influence and confusion of satan.

I'll pray for you. You only have one soul. Don't dismiss it so lightly.

I'm not sure which "set of fairy tales" you were reading while you were a Christian, but the Bible is far from that.

Unless...you were never a Christian. Nothing wrong with that, ya know.

I don't think that you ever wanted to follow Christ, that's all.

Ideally there should be as many religions as there are people, everyone should decide their view of the world on their own...if the hot female-skatebording god of ice cream is your ideal being then why not?
your made up religion is just as valid as anyone elses..mabye even more because it speaks to you personally.

I am not into religion at all but it is your decision although I do not recommend it.

I am Agnostic-- sometimes I go back and forth even between Agnostic and Athiest but whatever.

I really do not know what to tell you. All religions are strict pretty much.

I would be interested in the worship of hot chicks myself. When you find that one let me know. Other than that, I don't believe anyone needs religion in their life - unless they just love being duped by someone who feels superior.

Way to go, if you keep looking something like you describe above you need to create your own religion.
