The Bible goes against the very nature of man and the teachings of Jesus and Moses PBUT. It is very confusing to try to justify the belief in the Trinity. This is because the Trinity is a man-made doctrine that was drawn up several hundred years after Jesus. In this time period different interpretations of the Bible were causing serious debates among Christians. The various interpretations were, undoubtedly, due to human perversion of the original scriptures, poor preservation, and/or shoddy translations. One of the main things being questioned was the nature of God and Jesus. Was Jesus actually God, the son of God, or just a messenger? The Council of Nicea was formed in an attempt to settle this dispute, and the Nicea Creed (the Trinitarian doctrine) was subsequently hammered out.

The word trinity or triune discribes the three in one to help people to understand. Actually the original bible is called the Outography, not the Bible. It is again the word that discribes God words. The Bible is the word that describes Outography. Also, a bible can be something that you use gain knowledge on something. Not necessarily "The Word" like an owners manual can be referred to as A bible not THE bible. It should not be in original manuscripts of the Bible because it is a discriptive word. As well Trinity was assumed every one knew what father son and holy ghost meantt, you didn't need a word to discribe it. Shows the Quran to be false, yet again. Thank you for your question

What is your point? Why would a book refer to itself?

I think if all the Muslims really look into what the Quran says, they will be Chrsitians as well.

It says Jesus was born of a virgin and that he will judge the world. How many prophets get to judge the world? They only believe he was a prophet. Why do they ignore when he said he was the Son of God and listen to other things he said? Doesn't make much since.

"Trinity" is a word we use to describe the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. "Rapture" isn't in the Bible either.

Oh and the Quran tells people to read the Injil. The Injil talks about the Gospels of Jesus. What's in the Gospels of Jesus? Him saying he is the Son of God.

Fenian is wrong: There is nothing in the Bible that suggests there is a think called Purgatory. You go where you go when you die. You die and are judged once.

because it wasnt named "the bible" yet. it was still just the books used in judaism (torah, etc). also, the trinity was named the trinity by catholics... or something like that, but the concept OF the trinity is referenced to MANY times by Jesus and His disciples. what was your question?

ps the quran was written so long AFTER the bible that there werent any living prophets that could have defended themselves against the blasphemy of the quran. just like joseph smith, an angel of light appeared and gave someone some books... just cant be true if you both believe it could have happened, and what did that angel do, screw up and say whoops joseph smith i gave the muslims the wrong book here is the right one?" UH, NO...

Yes, we know that. The word "Bible" is from the Latin "biblia" which simply means "books." The word "Trinity" is not in the Bible because it is the word used to describe the concept of three Persons in one God. The concept is there, just not the word.
Both words are in Quran because it was written later than the Bible.

neither is rapture, purgatory and others, that doesn't make a difference- they are names that are given and accepted. they are words given to events or to things that are implied within the bible.i think bible just means book, the bible is a library of books. i haven't read the quran,i might later on but the bible works just fine.

Yes. The Quran was written well after the individual Books of the Bible and Christianity was established in Mohammad's vicinity of Mecca. He was influenced by both Jewish and Christian settlements near his uncles home where he grew up. BTW, Christianity was not the label given at the time. It was Church of believers who settled outside Mecca to escape persecution, but the doctrine was the same and they are now referred to as Christians.
