We call it ancient mythology, but for millions in the BC era, it was a religion just as established as Christianity and Islam are today.

Do you think anyone today follows Greek mythology as a legitimate religion?

I consider Christianity and Islam to be 5% truth mixed up with 95% mythology. You know when you try to feed your cat a pill, you have to wrap it in cheese to trick them? Religion is the cheese.

There are some pagans in Greece that worship the ancient gods. They are some kind of lonely people union.

The ancient greek religion is a way of life. It's not about rituals in forests. I know some greeks who deny christianity and live by the ideology of the olympian religion, most of them are atheists, they don't do rituals and feasts.

Yes. I know several people who do worship Greek gods legitimately. There are still active Khemetic groups (who have temples) here in the U.S. where the Gods of the ancient Egyptians are worshipped legitimately. Many of the old religions are still around. Legitimacy is a judgement. So whether or not they're *legitimate* depends on who you talk to.

Today, probably not. But that's an interesting way of looking at it. A couple thousand years from now, humans will probably consider Christianity and Islam "ancient mythology" as well.

Legitimate? No. There are no political entities on the earth which worship the Greek gods as an official religion.

you have picked out between the various obvious contradictions, so i'm not greatly surprised you're looking this annoying to reconcile. My take is that God recognises that for the time of a sinful international, conflict is inevitable. although, lots conflict is avoidable if we carry on with Jesus' coaching. So God shows us in the Bible the thank you to habit ourselves in the two situations & does not condemn all human beings using fact they ensue to get caught up in it. The behaviour of early Christians replaced into diverse till politics hijacked Christianity for the commerce-off of being a state faith. there have been advantages in having faith using fact the inspiration of our law for almost 2000 years, yet additionally losses. in the 2d international conflict many Quakers refused to enlist in combating forces & suffered as a effect. They maintained the coaching of Christ as they understood it, yet many different Christian faiths extra actively supported the conflict attempt & looked as though it would have had their stance justified by making use of the effect. The Bible enables the two. Likewise in extra contemporary wars many human beings have been given little selection yet to combat or locate their families killed. back an exceedingly confusing selection. i think God accepts us no remember what our previous or contemporary difficulty & thought. In time, the Holy Spirit shows issues to us that God needs us to contemplate. it is stable which you have been brought about think approximately this difficulty & to apply Yahoo solutions as the thank you to set others human beings thinking too.
