You are never truly relaxed or at rest, as the brain continuously works in the background, registering what you see and hear and trying to interpret it. If you sit down too long, your body also reacts and registers discomfort, such as pins and needles on your buttocks. Your posture (how you sit) will also affect you, such as slouching, curved back, hard chair, and so on, so it still puts a strain on the physical and mental aspects. It doesn't lead to automatic relaxation when sitting down, although you may still feel more relieved especially after standing on your feet all day (at work). You can use meditation to relax the mind and body to a degree.

No. In order to relax one must not utilize any HOTS.
(higher order thinking skills) The brain must be locked
between gears with no motion whatsoever. There should be a full dazed look on the facial region.

No.
You may have so many things that are crossing your mind that you may not even notice WHY you are sitting down. The only way you can really feel relaxed is when you have everything cleared from your mind.

No - I'm not. I'm a fidgety kind of person - hyper - so I never really relax unless I am unconscious or asleep. LOL

Not always. You could be relaxing or you could be mentally agonizing over all your troubles and that is not relaxing.

Not necessarily. You can have a lot of anxiety and stress even when you're asleep.
