Here's a simple test I just read about:
Plant some seeds in 2 pots. Water one with the cooled water that was microwaved and one that's from the tap. The seeds watered from the microwaved water will not sprout. I tried this comparing microwaved water as compared to conventional heating and it's true - the microwaved water prevented the seeds from growing! There is something to this. After having used a microwave for 15 years religiously, I finally stopped after doing some research. There is a wealth of info on the net about how microwaved food is chemically altered, etc. I just figured why not err on the side of caution and use other means of cooking. I use a flashbake oven which uses halogen light technology. The seeds sprouted when using water from this oven.

Two researchers, Blanc and Hertel, confirmed that microwave cooking significantly changes food nutrients. Hertel previously worked as a food scientist for several years with one of the major Swiss food companies. He was fired from his job for questioning procedures in processing food because they denatured it.

Only lessens the chance of having a watermelon grow in your stomach. Everything is considered dangerous, from red food dye causing cancer to aspartame causing every disease known to man. Every single additive that is put in modern day food is known to cause some sort of bad thing, and yet, for some reason, we live longer than we used to or than in countries that don't use additives. Idk, it's just, a major diet change like that is like becoming vegan, it's nice and all but extremely inconvenient. Do flashbake ovens cook at the same speed, are they effective? Are they inexpensive? But the thing about the seeds is interesting, they also say pregnant women should keep their bellies away from microwaves.

microwaves cook from the inside out with low radiation. Oven cook from the outside in. But how harmful could the radiation be at such low levels. Do we know yet which foods, or for how long will retain this radiation. For a fact radiation permanately alters protein structure. A nurse was fired for nuking a pint of blood to be used for a transfusion because the blood killed the person. Therefore, how safe is it for daily use?

Dude if you've used a microwave for 15 years stopping now is not going to do anything except hinder the way you cook food. The damage it could have done has already been done.

I'll have to try this myself; it does sound suspiciously like an urban myth though.
That nurse is a menace; she's been wandering all over the US and Europe microwaving blood and plasma for close to 20 years now. Why the hell do they keep employing her?
