umm...ok
i like this guy...we have been friends for a year and everyone things we should start dating.
i dont know what i should do
should i ask him out and risk ruining our friendship (maybe not totally ruin it, but it might change things between us) , or should i just wait for him to ask me out (which might never happen). If you have a better idea, that's certainly welcome to. I really am scared to ask him, i guess it's like a fear of rejection. But I really want to start a relationship with him...please help!!!
if you can't do that then tell me how i can find out if he likes me...

Well, you can first try giving him some signals, and see how he reacts.
Touch his hand while you are sitting somewhere and chatting, look deep into his eyes, initiate the talk, like you need the guy's oppinion, and ask : do you personally, like a guy , find me attractive? If he likes you, he will probably trip up and confess how beautyful you are, and then he will probably try to repair what sliped him. If he gives you an answer like a friend, he probably intends to stay that way. But keep trying. Set the mood, call him , always be alone with him, go to disco and dance with him. He will get the picture. When you use all your ideas, the only thing left to do is to talk to him.
Before you start The talk, ask him to promise you that whatever next you say won't change your relationship, not even a bit. Then start talkin. But don't confess that you love him or something, just talk about how you would like to date him, because he is good, always there when you need him, and you like him . This is the best way, so if he doesn't think that's a good idea, nothing will change. Yes, it will be A BIT awkward after, but it won't last long, really. And it will not ruin anything. If you confessed that you have some strong feelings about him, and he doesn't want to date you, that will ruin friendship. But if you put it all like: yeah, I like you a bit, we could try to be together, but we don't have to...., won't change a thing between you two.
Good luck, honey. Hope that everything will work out in your gain.
PS Could you inform us what happened? Or at least me? Thanx!

Try this - while you are sitting with him - lean on his shoulder and see his reaction.

Tell him that you are looking for a BF and ask him what he thinks of the idea that you start dating someone ?

Ask him what he thinks of someone passing by or someone who is hot saying that you like him then see his reaction.

You must know whether he is interested or not. Girls have this instinct. I know when a girl is attracted to me and when she is not I feel it in 5 minutes. I don't need a year to figure it out.

Good luck...

B ehonest and open. Dont act like a 5 year old. Tell him what you want and see if he responds. He might need a little coaxing but then so do most men/boys. Good luck.

OK. If I was the guy your referring to, I would be waiting for a hint (example= you could say "I wish I had something to do with someone on Sat. night"). If I was clever enough to catch on, I would say "You could join me for dinner". If I wasn't interested in dating you, I would say "I'll prob go out with some friends, nothing much" and change the topic. A hint is alot easier to buff out if it doesn't work out than asking him out.

im with you hon! XDDDDDDDDD this is funny! (not in a mean way) i know my friend that i LOVE and i told him today... i think our friendships ruined..
take the risk! if he does like you and you dont tell him bc of fear that the friendship will be over, then you will be sorry and jealous of the other girl that gets him.
