If it's still sealed, you have about a 50/50 chance of it still being good. If it's not bulging (assuming a plastic bottle) or that the pop-cap hasn't popped (assuming glass) then it's likely you have some 3 year old cider that may very well be OK.
Apple cider is pasteurized and/or has sodium benzoate added to kill all the bugs that would cause it to rot or ferment. Assuming this was done properly and that the seal hasn't been broken, there's no real reason it can't be ok still...now *30* years might be different.
If it had fermented (this would assume no sodium benzoate) then it would have likely exploded long ago...fermentation generates a LOT of CO2...ask any home brewer who's had their bottles explode, literally. If it's rotted, you'll see nasty stringy gooey stuff, possibly floaty stuff in there and some pressure built up, hence the bulging or pop top being popped. It can't have turned into vinegar without first fermenting into alcohol (and exploded) as vinegar is a by-product of the acetobacter bacteria interacting with alcohol in an aerobic environment (having oxygen)...without fermenting, there's no alcohol, and still sealed means there's no oxygen.
You're just a weirdo with 3 year old cider in your room. If it's still good, you *could* make hard cider out of it, though :)

First of all it is cider.
There are two kinds. Soft cider more commonly called apple juice. And hard cider, this has turned to alcohol.
There is also a third and most likely thing that could happen and that is the cider has turned sour and become apple vinegar.
You wont know until you open it up and smell it. Trust me you will know which it is very easily.

Apple cider will ferment and become Alcohol. It usually takes a few months. The problem is that your 3 year old cider has become vinegar. I would not recommend consuming it.

To make cider or wine alcoholic, there needs to be yeast introduced to process the sugars into alcohol. Most likely, the few bacteria that were left after the cider was pasteurized have multiplied in the high sugar, room temperature environment and it is full of harmful bacteria and the toxins that they produce. I would throw it out!

Fruit juices usually contain sulfites, which will kill aceto-bacteria. You wont get vineger. Odds are it was pasturized when bottled, so it is probably fine. I doubt that it has become alcoholic. Random juices don't ferment too well. Yeast are very picky about the acidity of liquids that they are trying to grow in. I'm willing to bet your apple cider bottle will in fact contain cider.

I have a perfect recipe for just that thing.
One garbage can
One pair asbestos gloves
One three foot long set of blacksmith tongs
Put on the gloves, pick up the tongs, and use them to CAREFULLY place the bottle in the garbage can. Replace lid, wait until trash day, and hope for cool weather in between.
Incidentally, that is a recipe for making your garbage man cuss like a sailor.
