Because I did not have tha capacity to believe..I could not make myself no matter how much i tried..there was always doubt and finally i stopped doubting and just knew. There is nothing to believe in..it was all a lie.

I relized i was a non believer when religious people constantly asked for my money.I also looked at history and seen all the religious justifications for killing.Religion was used to convert people to weaken their morality to fight thus making conquering them easier.I also relized people love things that are out of the ordinary say like demons and so on.I looked at all the religions and I believe they were all made to promote the better good of humankind.I dont think any religion is better than any of the others so i rather not pick sides. Most of all, People need guidance because of all the corrupt things going on in the world.

Couldn't say. It was either a very slow process, or I may not have ever really been a believer in the first place. Maybe I was, when I was a child. I did learn about it (religion, jesus, god, all that), but I can't remember ever giving it much thought, even though I was in catholic school for a while. I think I heard about it and then just dismissed it, it never really interested me.

I read the books, rather than relying on having people who could barely comprehend a shopping list explain them to me and did the historical research. Then, I applied common sense. Finally, I observed and studied the actions and beliefs of theists and the distructive impact their religions had on their lives and society as a whole.

The day I realized I was spiritually alone. And that all the things they told me in church just seemed wrong and I could not make myself believe in them. I was not raised to follow things blindly. I was raised as all americans should be raised, being allowed to and encouraged to always ask "Why".
Maybe if more people actually asked why more often out leaders wouldn't get away with **** they do.
