The German army is not a conventional one, and it is restricted in many ways, just like the Finnish one. Like us, the Germans aren't allowed to build Submarines... And like us, they probably have them manufactured in parts ready to be mantled. :)
It's ridiculuous, I know. Even Finland has an imposed a maximum limit in how many people it can employ in its army just because we lost a war. I think the number was 60 000 or something.

Why shouldn't they, should future generations always pay for the mistakes of the past, if that was the case why should Britain or America have armies, nobody is denying that Nazi Germany was a cancer in the world and the holocaust was a terrible act that all mankind will have to face up to, but I am sure the boer civilians who died in British concentration camps felt the same, just as the residants of Hiroshima or Nagasaki.

Yes they should they have lots of elite regiments that have helped out behind the scenes for years, I know that you are meaning to be trusted rather than having an Army. Germany can now be trusted 100% to stand beside NATO and the UN to help and support others worldwide, remember Italy was allied with them too if you are saying they cannot be due to WW2!

Last time we let them have an army there was war on
Maybe they could have an army with just little soft people in it, then if they start anything we can sort them out quicker. It went on a bit to long last time.

Germany does have it's own army. In fact, I've served alongside German soldiers on European-wide, NATO exercises.

Germany has an army. They also have a Constitution that severly limits the activities of the German military. Don't forget WWII.

Germany has the strongest Army in Europe. (Russia not included)
When it should come to a war, nearly 2.000.000 troops can be build up within a few days. In a longer term, 8.000.000 troops will be possible.

They had a constitutional restriction now partly lifted to prevent them having a military force which goes abroad, but they DO have an army:
I saw a German student being tormented about the dreadful things the Germans did in WW2, he replied "Ja, but it was not me!"
Fair comment?
