Working for 4 dollars and hour is simply ridiculous but Illegals do it and claim they are helping the economy by doing the jobs that Americans dont want to do, I think they need a news flash that they are the ones being taken advantage of and making themselves look like their hardwork and labor is not worth more than that 4 dollars. Do you believe that Illegals are degrading themselves by working for cheap labor or they do it to make a point and what exactly is that point?

where they come from, i guess 4 an hour is great.. Non the less the law is the law. It is making it harder for born Americans to make it.
The planet is doomed no matter who does what. If the illegals want to be here so bad to have a better life, let them go to war in Iraq. I think a new law should be if you want to be here in this country then jump the freaking wall enlist and go fight in Iraq. If you make it back you're a citizen. This nation is about one thing and one thing only.. Money.

News flash Americans won't work for $4/ hour. This is why illegals are hired, to avoid paying real legal wages. This is why Bush and his neo con handlers want them here, to hold down what the rest of us get paid.
Illegals are not degrading themselves at these wages, it is more than they will ever earn in Mexico. They are however contributing to the breakdown of our way of life. They are also breaking the law by being here.

The point is they can't get a higher paying job because 1. they have no SSN 2. they are not legal and 3. They choose to work for the amount they work for. If they become legal maybe they can get a better job. They let themselves be taken advantage of. I mean come on, If i could find a baby sitter to work for 4.00 an hour and one that works for 15 an hour I would highly choose the one I have to pay less money!

I think if all that 'hard work' went into fixing Mexico, and making sure that criminals and drug dealers didn't run their country, they'd have a future in that country.
I think 4 bucks an hour beats a sharp stick in the eye any day, but
it still comes down to the fact that reforms in Mexico won't come until the whole population gets behind the idea...and if their best, brightest, hardest workers bolt for the United States, that'll never happen...

It matters not if they are being taken advantage of. They have no right to be here. They are criminals. American criminals get paid 40 cents an hour to do hard labor. Why should the criminals from Mexico get paid ten times as much, plus get benefits from the citizens' wallets?
They should be happy to get $4 a year. It's more than they deserve to make here.

I don't believe they are working for only 4 bucks an hour. Many have flooded construction so that Americans cannot afford to work in many jobs now. Drywalling used to pay over 25 bucks an hours, illegas flooded that market and now it is 12 or 13 tops. Do the contractors charge less to build your house, no way Jose.

oh let me get in on this one...I used to live in Tennessee and there are people many people who make low paying jobs there. Waitress like my daughter make between 4-5 an hour plus tips. In big restarunts where are lots of tips the wages are 1.65 per hour. Many of the factory jobs pay between 4-7 an hour and cost of living there is very high when you consider the wages. The mexican people work many of the low paying jobs until they get in a field like landscaping or child care or construction. All of these pay good wages. Most of these get sponsors to help them get the high paying jobs in factories. In tennessee where I used to love the factories mostly moved to Mexico for NAFTA agreement. So would we be better off to move to Mexico and work?

The reason they are making $4 an hour is because you won't do it for $7. You answered your own question. Besides a migrant worker can come to the U.S. and work for 6 months and then go back to Mexico and live fat and happy for the other 6. Now that we give them welfare and health care they don't even need to go home!

First let me say I do NOT support this group but this is how I feel that they feel. I don't think they believe it is degrading. $4 an hour is ALOT more than they can make in Mexico so why not work for that even though it is less than minimum wage.

they are stupid to even come here. they aren't helping our economy, they are ruining it by earning money here, and spending it there. and four dollars is waaaay too much to pay those low lifes. they can't do any job right. Mexicans poured our driveway. It cracked and corroded in 6 different spots. They did our pool. We had to get it replastered. they bricked our house. Lets call the rebricking agency. Americans installed our airconditioner. wow no problem . because they actually learn how instead of getting the book Installing Airconditioners 101 from the library. MExicans ruin our economy and if they get 4 dollars, they should be happy
