I am already fairly lean. I just need to lose a few pounds in a week. I am going to biketoberfest in a week. I am 5ft 7in and currently weigh 138 lbs.

A low carb diet is the best I've ever tried, You can see the difference in a few days. On this diet you also lose water build up, making you bloat.
I tried it a couple of years ago and could hardly believe how much weight I lost.
But no bread , potatoes, rice , pasta , no sweets.And lots of other food that contain carbs. Just read the labels.
I still do this when I want to lose a few pounds.
You can still eat carbs, one day each week.

The fastest way to lose weight is to cut out sugar, bread and pasta. Drink water or gatorade instead of soda or juice. Eat alot of fruits and veggies. Try a salad with fat free dressing. Make sure to exercise for about 30 minutes everyday. You will need to burn off more calories than you consume. Count your calories. Depending on your body you may or may not lose 5 pounds in a week. Just stay away from fast food and fried food. Try grilled food instead. Good luck.

Easy.
Drink a lot of ice water (at least 64 oz everyday) and go by the 2468 diet.
That diet is on one day only eat 200 calories. The next day only eat 400 calories. Then 600, and finally 800. It'll keep your metabolism up and burning calories but you won't be ingesting that many.

I did a detox and lost 7 pounds in a week. The key was to eat natural unprocessed foods.

Fresh Fruits and vegetables.
Fish, like tuna or samon .
No beef or chicken.
Brown rice and whole wheat pasta.
Lots of water

I don't think you need to lose weight. But what you could do, is set a food timer, be like I can't eat anything past 7. And eat moderatly during the day. It's healthy, and effective.

i've got lost 5 pounds in my first week. it quite is my 10th day and that i've got blanketed salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean fowl) as you stated. After 4 years of attempting, the fat is finally coming off. It quite feels like magic! start in the present day!

Crank up the cardio. Lower what you eat - focus on high fiber veggies and fruits and lose water weight. Good luck.
