I would like to get some advice on what I should do about backing off in a relationship so I don't lose the guy I really want to be with. I'm finding i'm getting too clingy Some, nice constructive, help would be nice on this. Thanks!

Let him call you. Let him drive. Let him decide where to go. Go out with friends at least 3 nights a week (without him). Give him room to breathe. Don't question/care where he is... Never check up on him when he's off doing his own thing. In other words, don't try to mother him. Just be his girlfriend and not his wife. I could go on, but I think you get the picture. There is nothing worse than a clingy girlfriend (other than a psycho).

I'm not sure if this is going to be "nice" but maybe what you should do is get a life. And then that way you are not always thinking about him every moment of everyday.

Get out with your friends more and occupy your time. That way you wont need to be so clingy.

Find other interests outside of him. Hang out with your friends, take a class, play sport, something. Involve yourself in other activities that do not involve him or he is not interested in. Very important for you to have your life/interests and for him to have his.
