Is it ok to mix darvocet with vicodin? My doctor gives me one or the other every month, but I never asked if taking both at the same time is alright. I'm not saying I'm taking a whole lot of each one but like maybe a couple vicodins in the morning and then in the afternoon take a couple darvocets instead of the vicodin, is this ok?

I don't know why he is giving you these. Neither one is very good for pain control. They mostly are euphoriants, and contain much too much acetaminophen, which can damage your liver.

Hey, I take Vicodin OR Darvicet at least once a week and they are basically the same thing. I wouldn't personally take them together but you will be alright. I prefer the Vicodin personally but to each his own and yes I take them for fun for all you people that are wondering.

I'd ask your doctor to be sure but I'd recommend taking about 4 of each and wash them down with the finest margarita(s) you can quickly get your hands on and tell Hunter S. Thompson I said hi.

You should take one or the other. The doctor is wrong to give you both narcotics. You should stick to the one that works best for you---if you really need it.

Talk to your physician. Both medications are narcotics and it may be his attempt to keep you from getting addicted by alternating the medications. Unless instructed to do so, I would advise you not to.

You should probaly take either one or the other. Not both but if you are going to take both don't exceed the recomended dosage on the bottle.

as long as you separate the doses by four to six hours, you should be ok. Both are addictive, would be careful.
