If your ultimate goal is to commune with your creator, then will you not one day have to see yourself as an equal to him/her or, more directly, as him/her?

Be equal? There is no need. In fact, the entire reason God sent Jesus was because we are not equal and never will be. Jesus is the way to approach God, because we are all evil in nature. And if you truly believe you are not, that means you must never have hurt anyone or made any mistakes in your entire lifetime. Although there are many egocentrics out there, the bottom line is: you are NOT perfect, and therefore cannot approach your creator as an equal. When you really think about this, you'll realize it doesn't bother you as much as you thought it would. It's actually a good feeling. God Bless

the ultimate goal is not to commune with your creator. The gift of God is that now we are able to commune with our creator through Jesus Christ our Lord, who died for us for the forgiveness of sins. and for this we should be thankful towards the Lord our God.

the goal of my religion is to get to heaven to be with God. We will never be equal because He created us. We don't dream of being equal to Him either. We are humans and He is God.

i can not be one with him physically because he is a spirit creature and does not posses a physical body. also he is the alpha and the omega the beginning and the end. and we as humans do not have that ability to be immortal. rather we are in heaven, live forever on earth or what have you. But i am one with him in that i agree with his teachings and everything else.

I will be with Jesus Christ, who is God, for all eternity in heaven but I will never be equal to Him. I am a man, not God, and will forever be a man throughout eternity.

Me...an equal with God...no way. God created me in His image, not His exact likeness.
