are there any uses for a SONY Commander RM-X1S on a PC?

I just found the thing in my garage, so i thought that i could use it for something on a PC, but its for car stereos...so i was wondering if there are any uses for it on the PC?

Other than mounting it on the side as an ornament, there's not much you can do. Many websites talk about interfacing the X2 to a PC, but the X1 uses coding that no one has figured a way to use yet.
