I'm really not sure why you would want to eat so little. That's really not healthy, and it's not realistic. You could eat that little and probably lose weight, but once you went back to eating normally you'd gain it back. And that's not enough calories to sustain you healthfully, no matter how long you choose to eat like that. I would recommend you make and appt. with a nutritionist to figure out the best way to eat.

First of all, no one should ever eat ONLY 500 - 800 calories a day. And you probably know this. If you are worried so much about gaining weight (which is why people count calories) just eat what is healthy for you. There are a lot of low-calorie snacks out there. Also plenty of fruits and veggies. Both are very low in calories. The only way I would eat only 500 - 800 calories a day, is if I sat on my butt the whole 24 hours in the day. If you are exercising, you need at least, let me say it again, AT LEAST 1200 calories a day. Or else you will only end up gaining weight with your body going on starvation mode. Don't believe me? See it happen!!

Why would you want to do that? Your body needs good food to be healthy. The average caloric intake for a female is between 1500-2000 calories a day. Starving yourself will make you lose weight, but adopting a healthy, active lifestyle will make your body healthier in the long run.

To lose weight you need to burn more calories than you take in -- period. Short term diets are useless. Successful weight management requires a lifestyle change. If you eat healthy and exercise regularly you will succeed. If you starve yourself or seriously limit your caloric intake you will fail. I find that a low carb/no sugar diet works perfect for me. Good luck!
