Honey, first of all you have to quit, it is not doing you any good to cut yourself. You must be really hurting inside to be cutting yourself outside, next time you feel the urge to cut, punch a pillow, go outside and scream as loud and as much as you want, cry on your favorite stuffed animal. Now, that is only part of it, now go to a responsible mature adult, somebody that you know will not freak out whoever you feel comfortable talking to, do NOT tell your friends, or anybody at school, because they may not seem like they are freaking out, but if word gets around you are going to feel even more hurt than what you do now. When I was your age and needed to talk to somebody, I always went to my youth pastor at the chuch, even though i hardly ever attended church, she was there for me. I didnt feel comfortable telling my parents my problems. If you are open with your parents, one or the other, or both talk to them, let them know you need to talk first, tell them not to freak out tell them you need their help, stay calm and than show them where you are cutting. Please please please quit cutting! and please do something good for yourself, something small or big whatever it is go do something that you have not done in a long time, treat yourself to an icecream, or buy a new shirt, get a new haircut, redesign your bedroom, small things like this will help you remember that there may be big problems in your life or not, but there are still postive things out there today, and people out there care about you! I care about you and I don't even know you!

There are several Machiavellian ways to get help. With you being a girl, try this one. You should ask your parents about a wellness exam, that is if you trust your doctor in confidence. Medical professionals are bound to you by law and cannot breach this confidence unless it puts you or someone else in grave danger. Truancy isnt murder or a felony, but it will lead to other serious issues, if not addressed responsibly, like teen pregnacy, drugs, alcohol, and thats just to start. Truancy is one of the gateway drugs. You medical practitioner can help you explore alternative positive excapes that will allow you to enjoy your teenage years and create good memories that will last a lifetime.

Gabby do you have a trusted friend, teacher, pastor of your church somebody you can turn to for help? If you can't talk to your parents then talk to the trusted person. They will get you in touch with the assistance you need. And please for your own sake do this AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Don't wait until you feel better. Please contact this trusted person soon. I am proud of you and I commend you for knowing you need help and want to get it.
As for everybody freaking out and getting mad well I am sorry to say they might still do that but if you have your trusted person by your side and assisting you with your problems then I am sure you can ride any way of emotion you may receive. I wish you the best in your recovery and in your future.

You need to get help. Call the mental health place in your area. I was in the same boat as you and now I am on an anti-depressant and I am so glad I never took my life. There are so many people who will help you. You need to find a Higher Power, like God and ask that power to guide you threw this rough time. If you can talk to your parents thats the best thing for you. But if not talk to your counsilor in school. There is so much for you to live threw. I was in an abusive relationship, both physically and mentally, I hated myself for the things my ex did to me and almost took my life. Now I am in therapy and go to a support group. PLEASE HUN get some help. Your life may not feel like anything worth living for now, but DAY BY DAY WITH THE RIGHT HELP IT WILL GET BETTER. PLEASE DON'T TAKE YOUR LIFE. CALL ANY KIND OF 1-800 HELP LINE THEY WILL HELP THATS HOW I GOT HELP. PLEASE.

just ask. any adult you know. they will help you get help.
if that is too close call this number. they can help.

You must tell someone. When the problem involves your own well-being then it is more important that you tell someone and they freak out. If you dont, you could end up dying from it. You can e-mail me if you want someone to talk to that really cares.

Go to the school counselor he/she can help you get over it. Also try going to a doctor, maybe. It's ok to have this habit/addiction because it's preatty much normal among teens these days, BUT IT IS BAD TO HAVE THIS HABIT.

Please tell me how cutting yourself changes anything in your life for the better. It does not reduce stress, it does not make you feel better, it does not make you look better, it does not help you deal with lifes problems. All it does is increase these problems. Get somebody to talk to.

Just ask your best friend if you can talk to him or her privately and tell him or her and ask if he or she can help you get help for you.
