I have a wonderful 17 year old daughter named Joanne who's been suffering from moderate to severe acne for most of her teen years. I think I read somewhere that if she put curdled breastmilk on her face, it would help kill the bacteria.

I think I read in an article in Family Circle that you leave a jar of breast milk on the kitchen counter for a few days until it starts to curdle. That way, the enzymes in the milk are able to develop (kind of like in petri dishes).

I'm haven't had a baby in years, so I'm not lactating, but one of my girlfriends down the street, Brenda, just had a baby girl. She's happy to help and offered to donate some of her milk.

I sent Joanne over this afternoon to Brenda's house with an applesauce jar to collect the milk. Has anyone else heard if this helps though?

I'm sure that if you let Joanne take a bath with your 14 year old son Mark and your 11 year old daughter - who is going through puberty, then her acne will clear up!

You are a sick individual and are being reported with every immoral and sick question you ask. You need to get a job and grow up and possibly seek a mental evaluation!

While it took little less than two months for me to really see a difference, my acne, blackheads and whole lot of other skin problems I had such as eczema had completely cleared! It was totally amazing...

My family had an old country remedy for acne that is similar to that. But instead of using curdled breast milk, we used "Milk of Magnesia". You take the Milk of Magnesia and dab it onto the affected area at night before going to bed and leave it on all night long. The next morning wash it off. I think it was more an issue of it drying out and drawing the oil out of the skin as it dried. It could have been some microbiology going on, I'm not sure.

My family learned it from my Great Great Grandfather who worked in a hospital in about 1900 and they used it on patients to dry up bed sores.

And I can honestly say that I have never seen any one develop acne scars that have used it.

Milk of Magnesia, would have to be more sanitary than spoiled breast milk.

There is no way you read that article in Family Circle or any other reputable magazine. That's some outrageous story you made up. Take your daughter to a dermatologist.

I've never heard of that remedy, but I wish you well. I know how heart breaking it is to watch someone you love deal with acne. I hope it works - God bless!

I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!

Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:

1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn’t use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured…if we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don’t want us to know.

There is a great website: http://cure-my-acne.info/3daycure/ that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.

I used to make a mean cottage cheese from our dogs breast milk, you need to add alot of salt of it just tastes like bad milk. Not sure about the acne, but it can't hurt to try it, (FYI, some of us guys are really into severe acne).
