Time nor tide nor evening gloom
May shake the dew upon this bloom

These petals hold their scent eternal
From dawn to dusk through long nocturnal

This love that grows shall never end
When one heart finds its lasting friend

Through lush and lean
Through clear and storm
What now is wrought
Shall not be torn.

Try buying a poetry book. I would offer you one of my poems but they are a bit dark for a wedding. When Egar Allen Poe was in love with his wife and before the raven stage he wrote some truly beauiful poems. Other than that most female poets have lovely poems.

If you don't want to try writing one yourself, first find out if your parents have any favorite poets. If they don't here's a website with some really good wedding poems:

If your parents have "a song" use words from that song that fit the occasion. If they don't have "a song" think of love songs you like.
