Around the middle of August, I'm browner than most of the Mexicans I've ever laid eyes upon. It's called a tan and when I'm at my darkest, I do not appreciate people yelling "Brown Pride" because people who don't know me might lump me in with that nonsense and I want no part of it. The phrase "Brown Pride" therefore offends me greatly.

I think we've gone past the point of stupid with the handling of illegal immigration, and legal immigration as well, for that matter.
Congress wants to pay social security benefits to illegal aliens, now. That's a toughie because you've got people that paid into the social security system, but they were participating unlawfully to begin with.
In short, one of the reasons that the country's going 2 billion further in debt per day is because of extremely shoddy fiscal stewardship in Congress. The reason behind it? The pro-growth enthusiasts whove taken leave of their senses are all about expanding the population base, and thereby the tax base. No big mysteries there, just a perpetuation of untenable obligations and passing the proverbial buck to future generations.
Responsibility's been a real short suit for this Congress, along with planning and any kind of foresight. Hopefully, November will see a fresh mix of people with some better understanding and some kind of vague concept of the magnitude of the problems that this one will be leaving behind...boy, do they ever have their work cut out for em. Moral of the story: Coffee can with 20 dollar bills and gemstones in it is a good hedge against stupidity...

Depressed? No. Pissed off, YES! But in one way it's funnier than hell, because these idiots are just cutting their own throats with their temper tantrum marches! It makes me depressed when someone finds it easy to label millions of people with one negative word, "illegals". Something tells me that when my great-great grandfather came over from Ireland, he didn't have a passport. We're all people. We're all here. We'd do best to learn to share, play nice and try to forget things like our skin color or any one else's.
