Your question makes no sense at all.
What is safer, an Airbus 310 out of FRA or a 744 out of JNB?
a 727 out of MCO or a 739 out of SAN ?
A mc.donald's burger from Manhattan or a Burger King from London?
A t-shirt from Banana republic or a Polo R.Lauren shirt from TJ Maxx?

For all practical purposes, this is a non-issue (both are very safe), but it's interesting to look at the statistics.
According to AirDisaster.com, Airbus A320 has crash rate of 0.67, whereas DC-9 is 0.76, so they're approximately equal. In addition, the DC-9 is likely to be older, so A320 wins.
Personally, I think LGA approach/departure may be is a bit more challenging, as runways are shorter (7k feet vs 10k/11k/6.8k at EWR), and the water is close by.
Both EWR and LGA had 2 recent (last 20 years) fatal accidents.
If I had to take my chances with a million consecutive departures, I'd go for LGA and A320.

Both are perfectly safe. Choose the one that's most convenient for you, or cheapest, or whatever your most important consideration is. Don't worry about one being safer than the other.
If you end up on the DC-9, ask for a seat toward the front. It'll be a lot quieter than seats in the back. Whatever you do, don't let them give you a "window" seat in the last row (usually 21) -- there's no window and the engine is mounted next to your head.

A320 no matter departing from where!
Airbus is today's plane, DC and Boeing are in the past.
