You can buy a new microwave for £20 - which will be less than the repair bill. Do not attempt to use it - it canleak microwaves. Get a new one! Asda on the Old Kent Road is very good :)

Place your hamster on the plate, switch the microwave on, after awhile your hamsters feet will get fairly hot and he will feel the need to start running, hey presto the plate should turn. not as fast as normal but enough to rotate the food,

I agree with buying a new one. Do not try to fix it yourself. There is a high voltage capacitor inside which will hold a charge for a very long time. I won't tell you how I found this out.

The best thing you can do is take it to a repair shop. Don't start fiddling around with the microwave, it could be dangerous.

Don't try to fix it it's too dangerous. You can buy microwave ovens cheap enough now, sounds like you should treat yourself to a new one.

DONT try yourself
as a repair man i would advise you get a brand new one
they are cheaper than a repair and come with a years warranty
make sure you dispose of the old one properly at your local recycling centre

Probably cost more to fix, than it's worth. Buy a new one.
