I like reading your answers... It makes me think that "non-believer" is often felt like "agnostic" actually.

To me an atheist doesn't believe in any god, cosmic balance or alignment, greater power, or any religion other than science.

A non-believer doesn't believe in God but has other beliefs that there is more to this world than what can be proven/seen.

Atheist and non-believer are synonymous. Agnostic has nothing to do with belief... A (no) Gnosis (knowledge), A (no) Theos (god). Agnosticism deals with knowledge, Atheism deals with belief of gods existence.

Being a "pure" atheist makes no more sense than being a true believer.
Saying "I know" God exists is not logical
Saying "I know" God does not exist is also not logical.
However:
Saying "I have absolutely no evidence for the existence of God" is completely logical and sane.

i think "non-believers" relate precisly to not believing that Jesus Christ is LORD, and an "atheist" is a general term of people who don't follow a religion and believe in god(s)
