Ok I think that if you went with curly shoulder length locks it would be so cute and stylish.

First curl your hair in loose curls. Pull half of it back (not slicked back, leave it messy/poof it a little on top) leaving some strands around your face. Secure it with a butterfly clip underneath and flip the hair over it so you can't see the clip. Using bobbi pins, pin up the hair that is still hanging in the back so it looks like one thick, curly, long pony-tail (pin it up right beneath the butterfly clip just so that it's off your neck). Make sure that the clip stays hidden beneath your hair! This is a little '80's but still very modern and cute! I wear it like this sometimes and it looks like hair extensions. Good luck, you'll be gorgeous!

I know this doesn't help much, but I'm a big fan of wearing your hair the same way you normally do for special occassions. No one wants to look back and pictures and think "What was I thinking?!"

That being said, a headband/ribbon/scarf might be cute (to compliment the ribbon around the waist) or a flower behind your ear (bright pink would stand out great with a green dress!)
