Since you all suppose it would be so simple to have employers stop hiring illegals, how would they do it?
Do you picture a big evil employer saying "hahahaha! I hired a bunch of illegals and I'm not gonna get caught!"
If you were a business owner/ HR director how are you going to determine whether your candidates are legal or not? You can hire someone who speaks fluent English, in college, current drivers license, social security card, impressive resume, good credit history, and what? Does that make them legal?
People have a preconceived image of an old brown man that speaks no English and badly wants to pick crops........ I'm sure the majority of illegals out there do not fit this description at all.

It would certainly be a terrific policy. There are already laws which criminalize the employment of illegal aliens. This is why you must complete an I-9 form when you are hired for a job. The real challenge is verifying the identification provided by applicants/employees. I'm curious about the feasibility of establishing a "hotline" with the Dept. of Homeland Security to verify a resident alien ID. Often, illegal aliens are able to obtain counterfeit identities for a few hundred dollars and it is difficult, if not next to impossible for an employer to determine if the ID is valid or counterfeit.

Unfortunately many Americans do not honestly debate immigration policy because they are woefully ignorant of the facts, especially on the negative effects of mass migration. There are upwards of 20 million illegal aliens in the U.S. today Immigration today is almost quadruple the traditional level.Immigration has accounted for over 70% of U.S. population growth since 1970 Immigration has contributed significantly to school overcrowding, traffic congestion, the health care crisis, environmental degradation, social tension, and other negative impacts on our country.Yet pro-mass migration forces, including the politically correct media, cheap labor advocates and ethnic pandering politicians, rarely acknowledge the down-side of mass migratio How often is our health
care crisis attibuted to mass migration? Rarely if ever. Because the costs of mass migration have long been ignored by the media and politicians a huge dose of honest debate on the negative impacts of mass migration is long overdue Often those favoring immigration reduction are called racist or anti-immigrant but the truth is nearly all immigration reductionists favor immigration and immigrants, but at a drastically reduced level. Americans need to stand above the name calling and speak the truth. For example, is America being true to its values by creating and exploiting the illegal alien underclass at the expense of our own working poor? Is America helping other countries raise their quality of life by recruiting their high-tech workers, doctors and nurses? Is America really addressing national security by promoting a virtually open border?I think no,what do you think ?

First cut off their jobs by giving an obscenely high fine to any company that hires them.

Second, take away their driver's licenses and make it illegal for an illegal to register a car.

Third make it impossible for an illegal to buy a home or rent an apartment. They'll be gone by Monday.

We need stiffer fines for the employers hiring them and those helping them get here and stay here.
Make them all felons and depart them all.
