Use www.yousendit.com. It will upload your file and send the link to whatever email you choose.

You can use a program like WinAVI Video converter to compress the file and send it. Reccommend using RealMedia.
If that has no joy, legally use a bit-torrent client to create a torrent file, send him the torrent link and when you are both online, the file will transfer.
Alternatively, you may want to upload your video to YouTube or Google Video (you may not want it public though)
;)

You can try but you'll get fed up waiting for you PC to send it and maybe you cant' in any case due to restrictions imposed by your ISP or Email client. Burn it to a DVD and use snail mail, it will be quicker or as one guy suggests, create a torrent file and go on-line with it but it will still take quite a few hours and will take up loads of both your system resources.

Video files are already highly compressed. It is unlikely you will get any space saving using a compression algorithm. Unless the algorithm re processes the video to remove information (and hence quality)

Video files are already compressed. You won't be able to compress them further using tools like Winzip etc.
