The VW R32 was here in the US for like 1 year in 04. Any news about it coming back in the new Rabbit/Golf platform for the future?

probably not because the first one was not a very good seller here in the states. some models are great cars, but if demand falls, they won't make them anymore. case in point:

1. audi RS6
2. toyota supra turbo
3. mazda RX7
4. bmw 8 series

Audi A3 3.2 quattro is mechanically identical to the R32 of overseas.

They're going to have an r32 (or r36 if they use the passat engine) in a few years here --- until then, just get the A3.

In other news, there's a new Scirrocco coming here. (VW IROC concept is supposedly 90% production of the Scirrocco - you can't spell the latter without Iroc)
