I called to set up a time to catch up with this girl, and she sent back a really interesting message. We were friends in college and spent several nights alone working late on projects. We talked one time since I graduated, and she is a Senior this year. Why does a girl send a really long, nervous, and apologatory phone message? She used "um" a lot and said strange things like "And enjoy yourself!" which made no sense. She also apologized twice! What does it mean?

I should also state that yes I like her, and I would like to know if the feelings are mutual!

=seems to me the feeling is not mutual. It has been years and suddenly she hears from you and acts nervous. I would say she has found someone and doesn't want to hurt your feelings which is why she was nervous and apologized twice. You didn't mention that she wishes you to return her call and the big tip off should be "and enjoy yourself". Better let things rest unless she calls you again. Don't fret!

She was probably really nervous, and curious as to why you called her! She called you back, so thats a great start. I would say to just call her back and see how she is on the phone. Don't read too much into her message... she could have just been nervous!
