My friend was President last year, and really didn't do that well. I was thinking about running against her, and we talked about her running for pres and me running for vice pres, but I think I would do a better job. Should I just run for VP or should I go for Pres and risk hurting my friends feelings.

The club is a Roman Catholic student club on an Inter-Denominational Christian School.

There can be no romance between me and my friend, she is 38 and I am 20. (She went back to school).

Talk to your friend and suggest that since she got President last year, that this year you have a try. Also suggest that the both of you work together as a team sharing ideas. Your friend has no right to be mad at you. She may feel a bit jealous, but as long as you make her feel like an important team member, she'll feel more included. Go for it!

It depends on a lot of things... what kind of club is it, what do the other members think, and so forth. If the club's activities are important to a bunch of people, then you don't want to pick a bad president, so there's nothing wrong with you choosing to run, but you would hurt your friendship by doing so. What's worth more to you, your friend's feelings or competent management of this club? Keep in mind what other club members would want, too.

It would be best if you could convince her not to run in the first place. She might think twice about it if other club members tell her that they aren't really happy with her leadership. Alternatively, if you think you could get things to run more smoothly if you're elected as VP, that may be an option as well.

VP, is it really that important to you? You could lose a friend. Ask her if she wouldn't mind letting you run. If she says no, be the bigger person and be a man and graciously let her at it. Plus you can help her along the way. OOOhhh I smell a romance brewing.♥ Good luck!

Uh, yeah, definitely this is. popularity is a extensive component to having the ability to be a stable chief, inspite of each and every thing, who is going to carry on with somebody they don't possibly safeguard? only having been in the team the longest, does not unavoidably make you the main qualified. Its a annoying lesson, yet its one which would be conscious for the time of your existence. artwork is a similar, in case you are able to not effectively get alongside and cope with or lead human beings, you are able to not circulate up. Social interplay, management skills, managerial skills - its 50% understand how with regard on your occupation, and 50% popularity (understanding the thank you to charm and get workers / purchasers etc. to artwork in the direction of a complication-unfastened purpose.). this would't be achieved if human beings do unlike you on a private point.

run for what you want to run for, and have a friendly competition. Hopefully she will understand and you will be able to remain friends, if your friendship is more important to you than being president of the club, than do it her way.
