I think and alaskan cruise would be kewl, or you could go skiiing or go up north and check out all the leaves and stuff. New York City would be kewl for me who knows tho, you prolly live their! lol! Vegas was our first choice, but it got rulled out, we have to go way low budget! lol
btw-totally off topic, you answered my invite question, and $5 per person seems pretty high for invites, try shopping around online, mine are cominig from now-and-forever.com. I'm getting for 175 people for $300 (postage not included) rexcraft.com has really pretty stuff too, and the quality was great, you can order free samples! Hope this helps, email me if you want more suggestions!

I would look for something at a National Park -- Grand Canyon might be good. It isn't camping but there is a hike that goes down the Canyon and then you stay in a lodge in the bottom of the canyon for 2 days and then you hike back out. I think that it would be beautiful weather and isn't tropical but the scenery is amazing. Niagra Falls is also gorgeous and very cost efficient and will definitely keep you away from the tropics!
Depending on what state you live, there are lots of state parks that have individual cabins (upscale private homes) that is a bed & breakfast so it is just you and your hubby and you can go at your own pace. You are still close to home but are on your own territory. There are usually guided tours and various activities (white water rafting, horseback riding, etc) to give you some variety.
Regardless of where you go and what you do, it is your honeymoon and you will make the most out of it with your new Husband!

Have you thought of possibly going to Minnesota to do some sightseeing and shopping? We have the Mall of America, Minnesota zoo, a HUGE arts district, and plenty of things to do and see, all over the state. Novemebr usually isnt a terribly cold month, we usually get snow closer to the end of the month or middle of December. $2000 will be a nice amount to have. THere is also the Stillwater Zephyr train where they have a show that performs (20's themed), there is the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre, and so much more! Check out the tourism page link i have added below. Also, Thingstodo.com has links to all states. Good luck and congratulations!

I would start by thinking of what things you and your fiance enjoy doing.....do you like zoos or beaches or theme parks or what? Once you have some things listed, start doing searches on the web for zoos in the Us or theme parks in the UIS...you get the idea. Something shouold pop up that will make for an enjoyable honeymoon! Calling a travel agent and giving them your price limit could give you lots of ideas too.

Anywhere but tropical...that doesn't limit it much. Instead of throwing out a bunch of suggestions I will give you some sites to check out and you can go at your leisure.
For $2k for a week you can find a decent honeymoon, I would suggest trying sidestep.com or kayak.com. They are travel compiler sites which check prices of several travel sites to find the best prices for hotels, flights and packages. In conjunction with that, use tripadvisor.com to check out what people are saying about a destination, hotel, or attraction to find out if you think you'd like it.

Chinese noodle soup Super noodles (or cheap supermarket brand - you can get them from Asda for 9p per packet) Chicken breasts (or left over roast chicken) Garlic Broccoli Mushrooms green beans (or any veggies you have in the fridge or would prefer) Chillis (or not if you dont like spicy food) chinese five spice -Cook the chicken breasts in a frying pan with a little oil and garlic. - When brown, add the veggies and a sprinkling of chinese 5 spice (no need to pre cook the veggies first) -Put some water in a pan and add the noodles to cook (I also add chopped chillis to the water) - Wait about 5 mins until the veggies are cooked (but still firm) and the noodles are soft. - Add the sachet to the noodles (that it cam with in the pack) - Divide noodles into bowls - top with chicken and veg -ladle the flavoured, clear soupy water over the top and serve! Its honestly delicious. And the beauty is that you can use any left over veggies or random pots of spices you have in the house. Try it with pork too

I think you'd be pleasantly surprised with what you can get for $2000. I'd contact an a travel agent and go from there. There are some great package deals out there.
Good luck.

Well, I was going to say rent a nice RV that you drive and go camping! Find a town/city/national park that you really want to visit, and then do a search on the internet for a resort nearby.
