If you have straight hair you have to use tools for that (don't even read the rest). But, if your hair is naturally wavy or curly just do this. Wash your hair and rinse it with your head down (very important). Comb it while you have the conditioner on. Rinse it and DO NOT comb it anymore. Put some hair grease only on the ends (Scrunching it)(a dime size for short hair, a quarter size for long) something like PINK OIL or JOHN FRIEDA sleek gloss. Blow dry with your hair down and if you have a diffuser it will work a lot better. If you like big hair blow dry the roots also (remember, with your head down) if not, just blow dry the ends and scrunch like in the 80's. When you are done just put your head up, get a little bit of the same grease and accommodate the hair on top of your head. Trust me, you will love it. Just try it, if you don't like it all you have to do is wash your hair again and back to the way you were (which you don't seem to like that much). Good luck girl.

A professional body wave works best. Sleeping with it braided works, but if your hair is long and thick it might not dry in time (mine never does). Try using a curling iron on it- start with the curling iron half way up the length of your hair. Curl the curling iron towards your scalp. Take the hair that's still hanging out the end and wrap it around the curling iron with your hand and hold it for a few seconds. Works better than starting with the curling iron at the bottom and curling it all the way up.

after you wash your hair, put in about 2 or 3 braids and then wear that for about 12 hours(i.e. wear them overnight or throughout the day, not both or it won't work) take them out and you got wavy hair

if you're gonna go with the braids, make sure to rub a little gel over the outside of the braid (this helps define the waves and keeps it from being too poofy).

For me (my hair is pin straight) when i get out of the shower i put a little gel in my hands and run it through my wet hair. then i put a messy bun on top of my head and let it dry. when i let it out it usually comes out kinky and i run my hands through it and twist it with my finger and eventually it comes out wavy. Works For Me?!? I hope I helped.
