If they ask for money upfront don't do it. They sometimes ask for that to 'evaulate' your child. If your kid is cute enough you don't need them to be evaluated they will want them because a marketable kid=money for them. All the wannabe's are just quick money. Get some good pictures made and shop them to agencies.
But just make sure of one thing...it's what your CHILD wants and not what YOU want.

I haven't heard of them but be careful, agencies take all kids on, do a portfolio, charge you 100's of pounds for it, promise to be in touch and never do. When you phone them up they tell you your child is still on their books but they haven't been chosen yet for work. I looked into it three years ago for my daughter and this was the same senario I heard from parents about different agencies.

Definitely avoid the child modeling circuit. If he or she fails at it, you'll both be unnecessarily depressed. Its even worse if your child is successful. Talk about creating monsters. These agencies are the worst. They're known to pit child against parent in order to gain advantage.
If they want to try when they're older (teens), that's cool, as long the motivation and planning is from them, not you as the parent.

The best advice I can offer is to let your child be a child and enjoy childhood while it lasts. Let him/her have his/her own dreams instead of forcing him/her to fulfill yours.

Don't do it. Don't market your children.
There's no self-respect and personal pride in knowing how beautiful or talented you are. Teach them about living well so they can look back and THEN feel good about themselves.
