the rice i make seems mainly of the non-stick variety.

here is the perfect method to make great sticky rice...comes out perfect for me everytime.

Place 4 cups of sticky (glutinous) rice in a saucepan and add water to cover. Rub the rice between your hands several times and drain off the milky water; add clean water and repeat until the water is clear.

Soak overnight in water to cover or, to save time, it can be soaked in hot water for 3 hours before steaming. Drain the rice and place in a cloth lined basket or in a steaming basket.

Place the basket over a pot of boiling water, cover, and steam for approximately 30 minutes

Use glutinous rice instead. Cooking method is the same except you use 3/4 cup more liquid to cook with and glutinous rice needs to be pre-soaked for at least 4 hours to release it's starchiness.

Buy a rice cooker (I use an AROMA brand)...

go to an asian market and buy long grain rice. thailand rice is best. wash it a few times until liquid is almost clear. use a good rice cooker and follow manufacturer's directions

Just make normal rice but instead of all water, use some coconut milk in with the water, this is what they do in Thailand, I hope it helps.

Perfect rice should not be sticky :-)

You have to soak it for several hours to overnight. Then you need to cook it in a steamer.
