I am thinking to buy a latest Sony SLR Digital camera. Any comment?

I strongly recommend the Canon 400D or the Nikon D80 instead. These three cameras are in the same price range and offer roughly the same features, but Canon and Nikon offer a vastly better selection of lenses (in all price segments).
Between the Canon and the Nikon, I would get the Nikon - the higher price is justified by the build quality and the larger viewfinder.

Reports from the Photo Marketing Institute (see link below) indicate that that the prices of digital SLRs should be dropping in the next few months, certainly by next year. If you can wait buying for a while, you might be able to get a better price.

i have done some research in this category. i've heard sony slr i.e. a100 has noise problem at high iso. other than that everything is fine in this camera.

2 other camera models u might want to consider - canon 400d or nikon d80

It is a real good one:got it myself.
Do buy a largermemorycard than the one that is in it,when you get it.
