I have/had the same problem. I lost a lot of weight which brought on hair loss. My step mom gave me a home remedy. Basically, take the seed of an avocado and boil it in 2 cups of water. Once the water has reduced to 1 cup, let it cool. Peel the skin (the brown part) off the seed and chop into small pieces. Put the pieces in the blender, you can add rosemary oil to the seed. You should get a creamy substance that is rose colored. Strain this substance into any shampoo bottle. Every time you use the shampoo make sure to shake evenly. I can't begin to tell you how much better my hair is looking.

Fifteen is too young to be losing hair, unless she is of Italian descent and her mother had the same problem at that age. Otherwise, like the other post said, seek a doctor's advice because this could be related to a hormone, thyroid, or other medical problem that can be treated.

Although I'm not sure of the texture of her hair, it is a new product called Dr. Miracle that has worked wonders for me, and Pantene has always be a good product for me as well.
