I guess you're from England. Na. Don't give 'em guns. Cops here got guns. They're still yellow, and crooked. Every last one of them. From one ocean to the other. It's an experiment gone bad. Cops are worthless. They collude with hoods, government and otherwise. Take your cue from that.

Armed (Not ARMMED) police do face the consequences.
Every time a police officer discharges (that's shoots to you) his firearm he/she has to fill out paperwork detailing the exact circumstances and justifying why they used their weapon(whether they hit anybody or not).
I personally feel that ALL police officers (I'm from the UK) should be armed and trained in the use of firearms.
Every time they put on their uniform they are putting their lives at risk.I think they should have the tools to do the job

Armed Police has a meaning behind its title. Our Police are trained to protect us and keep law and order. The only consequences that will ever be brought up, is if you pull a gun on a cop and then it will be you who face the consequences. Your choosen consequences will be sudden death. It is not play. It is serious if anyone pulls a gun or a knife on a cop. I have seen what can happen and it is not nice.

Anytime a police officer discharges their weapon at a person they are put on administrative leave until the situation can be investigated. Once they are cleared of the incident than they can return to duty. Therefore, they ARE held responsible for their actions with their weapons.

First of all you need to be able to ask the question in the Queen's English !. All armed officers are trained to the highest levels, if you needed them, you wouldn't be putting up such stupid questions !

Armed police are trained people, they would not 'play with their guns' but respond with force if 'they deemed necessary'.
Since not all police think alike, some might shot on some occasions if they feel threatened. We can not judge all of them coz' of actions of a few triger happy police.

The police wouldn't be drawing their guns if there weren't people breaking the law. I'd rather have the police in charge than the ones they are shooting.

I am not sure what your question is, exactly, but you seem pretty worked up about the topic. Nice to see someone so enthusiastic.
Yes, I do think police should be armed.

yes there should be, and are consequences, but would you rather a whole bunch of criminals wander the streets or a few innocents get shot and there are investigations...personnally i'd rather let the police do their job and let the proper authorities investigate any misshaps

I don't feel that guns help situations. Yes, you can shoot bad guys; but these are still people, and the trick is to make them feel safe then catch them, not scare them into doing something dumb. as for jumpy, gunho police officers.. maybe guns should be a last resort rather than the first thing you reach for (after you radio, to call more cops with guns)
