Lets see, they have been developing and selling long range missiles for years. They've been developing nuclear weapons for 40 years. Even poor nations that funnel all their resources into something can be successful.
Also Japan has allowed large amounts of cash to be sent back to the home land (or what ever they call it), you can buy lots of things with money.

The first guys to do something always have to spend more in money and time.

You are mistaken. Nuke capabilities could not have been achieved by North Koreans on their own. Have you not read newspaper reports about the countries which help North Korea with nuke technology for their mutual benefit.

North Korea spent billions developing nukes, while their people starve to death.
France, China, Russia, and Bill Clinton all helped them to develop the nukes.
Now they are squealing.

What makes you so sure the Chinese didn't help?? Or the Russians?

And North Korea has had nuclear reactors for over 20 years now (Russian design, Chinese Built.) If you have nuclear power plants it is not hard to build a bomb.

Well China did report that the blast was supposed to be 4 megatones... it ended ub being less than a half. It was a failed test. Though the thought of a nation who hates most of the world having any kind of nuke..... It's scary.

They had a lot of help from China, Soviet Union, who knows, maybe even some US technology found its way there.
By the way, they also got a lot of support from Pakistan.

No not really. All the R&D work has been done for years. Building the bomb is not particularily difficult and you can get the instructions on the web. The only problem is getting enough enriched urainum. Their allies built the reactors for them so no problem there.

Lets just hope theat idiot doesn't use it.

Anybody with a college physics degree knows the principles of building a bomb. The hard part is getting weapons-grade uranium or plutonium and the engineering of the device.

Building it is the easy part. Getting the ingredients and being able to put the whole thing into a guided missile are the hard parts.

That's nothing! Look what the Romans and Egyptians did way back when. This is almost 2007, so it's all been done....
