No websites please. they all require you to buy something or enter a credit card # for a "free" trial of this and that. I know there's a number you can call for each of the three bureaus and it's completely free. I've done it once before, i just lost the number

You are entitled to one credit report per year from each credit bureau. The phone number is 1-877-322-8228. Or you can request them by mail by writing to Annual Credit Report Request Service PO Box 105281, Atlanta, GA 30348-5281. You can also request them on line at www.annualcreditreport.com. The request form to order all three at one time may be printed from www.ftc.gov/credit. You will need to give your social security number, your full name,(including any suffixes), date of birth current address, and addresses for the last 2 years.
The credit bureau may also request additional information that only you should know such as rent or monthly cell phone bill.

the real free one is http://www.freeannualreport.com This is the one the government required the agencies to establish.
