im getting a new bathroom and I was wondering when I get a sink with 3 holes can I buy a 1 hole faucet and are there coverings for the other 2 holes that are not needed

the faucet will cover the holes,the holes are needed for the hot and cold water suppy lines but for you bath room sink and vanity you
have to use a faucet that measures 6 inches ask a sales men for help when purchasing the faucet...

Well... IT IS POSSSIBLE to buy a one hold faucet and the base of that faucet would cover the other two holes.. I have done that before

You usually buy the sink and faucets together, Your renovator will be really on the ball for details such as that. Renovators usually would have done bathrooms before and will not agree to patch up jobs. They will be horrified if their work will get criticized. Your visitors will noticed holes that are patched and will ask you "who renovated your bathroom?" and "is he an amateur?"

Yes, you can get "chrome" fillers for the other two holes. I imagine Home Depot carries them. If not, your local plumbing supply will have them. They cost less than $5 each.
