First off, neither is a person, they are spiritual entities. In Buddism, Buddha may have actually existed at one point, but Im not sure because I havent studied it. Christianity and other religions that believe in God, well, God never existed here on earth. They are 2 entities of different faiths, but to some maybe their own personal belief is that Buddha is God, or God is the only true God. My personal belief is that everyone believes in what brings them peace and understanding, no matter what they call their "god" Good luck. To understand more you can visit churches and temples, or just pick up some books on the subject. Good luck. J

Is Buddha the lotus flower? There is a saying if you meet the Buddha you should kill the Buddha. Many people said of Jesus that he was reincarnated. Buddha never claimed to be God. Jesus made claims that no man has ever made. The idea is if you reach the enlightenment then what else is there? So, Buddha never claimed to be the enlightenment.

Since Buddha has a form, face, eyes, nose, mouth, and ears, and we can clearly see that Buddha is human, and since No man has ever seen God, then I would say no pictures of God, but pictures of Buddha would complete your answer.

NO!.
Historical Buddha was a real human being born in India about 500BC as a prince. In his search for happiness/contentment/end of suffering, he learned and taught the following basics:
Everything is impermanent therefore suffering.
(all people age, fall sick and die - TRUE)
Reason for human suffering is GREED/attachment.
Way to stop suffering is to think and do good without attachment .(unconditional love) following the the eightfold middle path of:
1. Right understanding
2. Right thought
3. Right speech
4. Right action
5. Right livelihood
6. Right effort
7. Right mindfulness
8. Right concentration
Buddha's teaching is that we are our own saviors.
By doing evil we create our own hell
By doing good we create our own heaven.
Buddha did not teach about a creator God or about the beginning of universe.

God is the creator of the universe, the big guy at large and in charge of everything. God is part of religion.
Buddha is part of philosophy, not religion. Buddha was a fat philosopher who had many great ideas about how to live live in a way that is healing to the ego. His followers idealized him in much the same way the Greeks idealized and made statues of Plato, but on a much higher level.

No. God and Buddha are not the same
God can not conformed to earthen image (image made by man). He is the Creator of All for He is God Almighty. Before Him there is no other. He is Alpha and Omega. He commands us to obey his holy word and to have no other gods before Him.
buddha is an idol god. that cause those who it to believe in a god that has ears but can not hear, eyes and can not see, mouth but can not talk. choose ye this day, who will ye serve. but for me and my house we will serve the Lord.

Gautama Buddha never refered to himself as God.. in fact, the system he created/refined, Buddhism, exists as a way to liberation without gods. God fits into the Buddhist perspective: but is not a necessary part of it.

No. they are very different. First of all, God is not a person. God is a Spirit. And those who worship God must worship Him in Spirit and in truth. Buddah on the otherhand was just an ordinary man, a man who was created by God. His name was Siddhartha Guatama True buddists do not worship Buddah.... but the revere his teachings and way of life. Many Buddists are athiests. They do not think a god based belief is necessary.
