I'm a Christian and think Halloween is a fun holiday for kids. But as Christian I teach them that we're just having fun, not trying to dress up to fool the ghosts running around on Halloween so they won't take the kids away. LOL that's craziest thing I've ever heard.

Halloween is a pagan holiday and the reason that it is on the calendar is actually because of the christians. When the christians were trying to convert the pagan lands, they had a common practice of incorporating some of the pagan holidays into the religion so it would be easier to get the pagans to convert.

Calendars aren't only used by Christians. Another fact is that many Christian holidays have no Biblical foundation, and this even more so as far as dating is concerned. This is not an attack on anything or anyone, just facts that we have to live with, and/or make decisions concerning.

Or will an anti-Christian double universal be uncovered? we are going to easily could wait and see, i assume. additionally, what relating to the names of the months and days of the week that are named after pagan gods? All christian holidays have pagan roots, not just halloween.

They only admit Halloween to be of Pagan history because it involves kids dressing up like witches and demons and other things that scare them

It is a tradition now. That is why it is still on the calendar. Christians often decide to forego it as it is considered "bad". I simply do not discuss the symbolism behind the holiday with my children and just let them have fun sort of like a dress up parade.

Let's see, and why is Christmas on the calendar and why is Easter on the calendar? ;-)
If people would just admit to stealing holiday ideas, in effect then borrowing them instead of just taking them and claiming they created them, the world be a better place.

Wow, that was rather blunt.

Yes, Halloween is a holiday with pagan origins, though it has also collected additional influences over the years, just as Saturnalia/Christmas/Yule and Oestara/Easter have. I thought it was great fun as a child, and I enjoy seeing my grandchildren have fun with it now.
