In my view...some individuals in the world we live in reach a point that they cannot see resolve in any other form...but to end the pain. They tend to fear advice...It hurts to know someone cares...SAD BUT TRUE!! Those who dismiss them as attention starved, or call them stupid...are the ones who don't understand. The ones who try to help and become emotionally involved...are angels. Whoever is asking for advice on methods should seriously consider their motives before dragging someone else w/a big heart to worry out of compassion for another human being. This particular ? is a tender one. A common one. Yet also it should not be exploited as a way to play on the emotions of others. Long winded yes, blind to the issues involved...NO

Who is this directed to?
People that talk about suicide are usually asking for help or sometimes attention. They don't always want answers.

Maybe they are just looking for help or someone to listen, not everyone who asks how really wants to know.

she's talking about the people who come on here (yahoo answers ) and talk about it i believe.. but most of them are pranks most likely, and a lot of the others are probably just seeking attention.. I'd say less than 5% are serious (thank god).. it's gotten to the point where i just thumbs down one of those questions and move on.

my husband's daughter is always threatening to commit suicide....she keeps attempting it and then makes sure she gets help....I think thats an attention seeking stunt....its sad how some people's stupidy and selfishness can cause so many problems for other people.
